ORDERING

What payment types are accepted?

We accept Visa, Mastercard, American Express, Discover, Diners Club, PayPal, Apple Pay, Google Pay, and Shop Pay.

When will my products ship? When will they arrive?

It depends on when you place your order. To avoid transit delays over the weekend, we only ship orders on Mondays, Tuesdays, and Wednesdays. This ensures absolute freshness!

1. Orders placed between Monday 12 noon (CT) through Tuesday 12 noon (CT) are shipped Tuesday afternoon.

2. Orders placed between Tuesday 12 noon (CT) through Wednesday 12 noon (CT) are shipped Wednesday afternoon.

3. Orders placed between Wednesday 12 noon (CT) through Monday 12 noon (CT) are shipped Monday afternoon.

Fresh steaks are shipped overnight, and they’ll arrive on your doorstep by the end of the following day. Depending on your location, frozen steaks are shipped via UPS 2-Day and will arrive on your doorstep within two days.

A tracking link will be provided to you via email – immediately after the order leaves the Tyler Country Market shipping facility.

Does anyone need to be home to accept delivery?

Although you don’t need to be home for your delivery, we recommend retrieving your order as soon as possible.

What if I have questions about a product or placing an order? What are the customer service hours?

Can I make changes to an order I already placed?

Yes. Please give us a call or send us an email as soon as possible. We will accommodate your requested changes if the product has not yet left the Tyler Country Market shipping facility.

What states do you ship to? Can I have my order sent to a PO Box?

We ship to the 48 continental states and Washington D.C. (We do not ship to Hawaii or Alaska at this time. We do not ship to P.O. boxes or A.P.O. boxes.)

UNPACKING AND STORAGE

How long will my frozen steaks last?

Frozen steaks will last for up to 12 months. Freezing meats below 0°F severely slows the growth of almost all mold and bacteria, and it can preserve the quality of meat for up to one year.

How long will my fresh steaks last?

Fresh steaks will last for up to 5 days. For optimal freshness, refrigerate steaks for no more than five days. Make sure your refrigerator is between 34° and 40°F. Store raw meat on the lowermost shelf or in its own drawer. Store meat with a plate underneath—especially when thawing—to collect run-off juices.

If you don’t plan on cooking your steaks within 5 days, transfer your steaks to the freezer instead. Freezing meats below 0°F severely slows the growth of almost all mold and bacteria, and it can preserve the quality of meat for up to 12 months.

What if there is no dry ice present when my container arrives?

Don’t worry. For 2- to 3-day shipment durations, it’s not uncommon to see no residual dry ice when your steaks arrive. Dry ice sublimates (evaporates) while in transit. We pack enough dry ice to keep your shipment under 40°F for up to 72 hours. (Please note that frozen steaks may thaw during shipment. As long as they are still cool to the touch, it is perfectly safe to put the steaks in your freezer when they arrive.)

Is it safe to handle the dry ice?

Always handle dry ice with care and wear protective cloth or leather gloves when touching it. An oven mitt or towel will work. It is harmless if touched briefly, but prolonged contact with the skin will freeze cells and cause injury similar to a burn. To dispose of dry ice, place it in a well-ventilated area at room temperature; the remainder of the ice will sublimate (evaporate). Never dispose of dry ice in a trash can, chemical waste container or other garbage/waste can.

I ordered my steaks fresh. How should I dispose of the gel packs?

The gel packs may be refrozen and placed in your freezer for your own personal use. However, if you choose to dispose of the gel packs, first allow them to fully thaw. Next, cut open the side and empty the gel into your waste receptacle. Recycle the empty plastic pouch with other plastics. (We do not recommend putting the thawed gel down the sink or septic tank. While it is nontoxic and non-hazardous, it can further clog the pipes if there is a pre-existing clog.) Don’t worry if the contents touch your skin; this is a non-toxic substance.

My steaks arrived partially thawed. Are they still good?

As long as your steaks feel cool to the touch, they are still good. The quality is not diminished whatsoever. Because we seal our steaks in Cryovac, you can refrigerate to be eaten within 5 days, or you can refreeze them. If any product arrives warm to the touch, contact customer service immediately. Why do my steaks have a brown color?

Steaks sometimes have a deep brown color when the oxygen has been removed from the packaging (as part of the Cryovac process). Don't worry, once the product is thawed and the meat is re-exposed to air, your steaks will return to a red color.

Why do my steaks vary in thickness from order to order?

Our steaks are hand-cut by weight, so the thickness of each steak may vary.
